The Power of Innocence

Alan Alexander Milne fought in the First World War as a British army officer, and was injured in the Battle of the Somme. Amidst the horrors of war, Milne metaphorically encountered “The Great Red Dragon”. The violence of war haunted him and traumatized him with recurring nightmares.

To ‘slay the great red dragon’ which had haunted him, Milne deployed the “Power of Innocence” by creating the enchanting sanctuary of The Hundred Acre Wood. That was where it all happened now.
