Gabriel García Márquez

There are wonder infused cultural parallels between the extravagantly exuberant expressions of enchantingly energetic imaginations in magical magnetism that fuel the storytelling of Latin writers such as Gabriel Garcia Márquez, and the Indian oral storytelling traditions which I was privileged to receive from both my Indian grandfathers, which, as with the stories of Márquez, were flowing with magical mysticism, flamboyantly full of vibrant color, fantastically woven into tapestries of beauty and reverence. There exists a happy kinship between the Latin and Indian love of magical realism.
